While living a military life or being a young matador may be associated with violence and cruelty, I discover a surprising fragility and weakness within these individuals. Contrary to popular perception, I found many of them to possess gentle and feminine qualities. This human contrast, the ability to embody two seemingly opposing traits simultaneously, captivates me. It serves as a powerful vehicle for me to create images that evoke more questions than answers.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAnother aspect that draws me to these images is the glamorous or unique outfits worn by the subjects. These outfits, reminiscent of a different era, symbolize the \"old world\" and serve as a poignant contrast to the defenseless gaze of the sitters.
