This open-access book serves as a sequel to the editors' 2019 publication, Achieving the Paris Climate Agreement Goals. This comprehensive volume conducts a thorough analysis of industry sectors on a global scale, with the primary objective of presenting emission reduction targets in 5-year increments (2025 to 2050) for the primary twelve finance sectors, based on the Global Industry Classification System. This scientific study endeavors to provide support to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment initiative, aimed at offering sustainability guidance to the global finance industry. The industry sector pathways presented herein are derived from the most recent global and regional 100% renewable energy and non-energy greenhouse gas Representative Concentration Pathways, with the overarching greenhouse gas emission pathways. This methodology has been designed to assess the climate and sustainability index for companies, and this research project extends the methodology to apply it to entire industry sectors. The results presented herein represent the first comprehensive industry assessments under Scope 1, 2, and 3 from 2020 to 2050. The foundation for the energy pathways is the scenarios outlined in the preceding volume. The non-energy greenhouse gas emission scenarios, categorized into agriculture and forestry and industry, are detailed and encompass all major greenhouse gases and aerosols. The concluding section of the book presents the main conclusions.
