Arthur Miller, widely regarded as the greatest American playwright of our time, has compiled a collection of his stage plays from the sixties and seventies in this second volume. The plays, which explore themes of individual responsibility, are accompanied by an introduction from Miller himself and two of his screenplays.

One of Miller's most personal plays, "After the Fall" (1964), takes place entirely within the protagonist's mind, often seen as a representation of the playwright himself. It delves into themes of the Holocaust, McCarthyism, and inherited sin.

Following this, Miller's masterpiece "Incident at Vichy" (1964) emerged, a poignant exploration of the darkness within us all inspired by a real-life incident in France. The play received little attention but remains a powerful testament to Miller's talent.

In 1968, Miller released "The Price," a touching and comedic portrayal of American life beyond the Vietnam War and Great Depression. The play earned him a Tony Award nomination for Best Play.

In "The Creation of the World and Other Business" (1972), Miller retells the Book of Genesis in a comedic manner, creating a parable around the theme of good versus evil. Two of his most beloved screenplays, "The Misfits" (written for and filmed with Marilyn Monroe) and "Playing for Time" (televised with Vanessa Redgrave), are also included in this collection.

The plays have been freshly edited and feature a bold new design, making this updated edition of "Arthur Miller Plays 2" a must-have for theatre fans and students alike. Arthur Miller's profound and enduring contributions to American drama continue to resonate with audiences worldwide.
