Bing and his friends are eagerly waiting for the fire engine to arrive in the park. They have seen it drive past their house many times and they can't wait to get a closer look. As they wait, they talk about what they would do if the fire engine came to their house. Some of them want to climb on the truck, while others want to spray the hose.

Just then, they hear the sirens start to wail. The fire engine turns the corner and speeds towards them. Bing and his friends jump up and down with excitement. The fire engine stops in front of them and the driver steps out.

"Hello there, kids!" the driver says. "What do you want to see?"

Bing and his friends look at each other, unsure of what to say. They have never talked to a fireman before.

"Well, we have a lot of equipment on board," the driver says. "We have hoses, ladders, and even a fire extinguisher. Would you like to see it?"

Bing and his friends nod their heads eagerly. The driver opens the back of the truck and reveals a huge pile of equipment. Bing and his friends run around the truck, touching everything they can. They even try on the fireman's helmet.

Just then, the fire engine gets a call. The driver turns around and looks at Bing and his friends.

"Listen up, kids," he says. "We have to go to a fire. But don't worry, we'll be back soon. And when we come back, we'll show you even more equipment."

Bing and his friends look disappointed. They had hoped to spend more time with the fire engine. But they understand that it's important for the fireman to go to the fire.

The fire engine drives away, leaving Bing and his friends behind. They watch as it disappears around the corner. But they know that they will see the fire engine again soon. And when they do, they will be even more excited to learn about all the different equipment it has.
