The story of Button & Popper revolves around a family of pixies, consisting of a mother, father, and twelve children, who reside in an apple tree. However, as autumn arrives, the leaves start to fall, transforming the apple tree into a cold and damp environment. Determined to find a better home for their family, twin brothers Button and Popper embark on a journey into the city. The pixies find themselves in the residence of a Professor Pilli, who listens to their story and extends an invitation for them to take care of his house while he is away at the South Pole. The brothers are overwhelmed by the Professor's kindness, and when the rest of their pixie family learns about the good news, they are filled with relief and joy once again.
