Why is the sky blue?

The sky appears blue to our eyes because of a phenomenon called Rayleigh scattering. This occurs when sunlight enters the Earth's atmosphere and encounters small particles of air, such as oxygen and nitrogen. The sunlight is scattered in all directions by these particles, and the blue light is scattered more strongly than the other colors. This results in the blue sky that we see every day.

How do astronauts breathe in space?

Astronauts breathe in space by using a special breathing system called an oxygen mask. This mask filters out the harmful components of the Earth's atmosphere, such as carbon dioxide and nitrogen, and provides the astronauts with pure oxygen. The oxygen is then circulated through the astronaut's body by a system of tubes and valves.

What is a lunar eclipse?

A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes through the shadow of the Earth. This shadow causes the Moon to appear dark, which is why it is often called a "moon eclipse." The Earth's shadow blocks some of the sunlight that reaches the Moon, causing it to dim. Lunar eclipses can only be seen from the Earth's surface, and they occur every two years or so.
