- More about Evil Ernie Lives!
EARNEST GLECKMAN is a college senior who is mortally wounded and discovers he must serve as a part-time fixer for a death cult, EVIL ERNIE, the polar opposite of him.
Format: Paperback / softback
Length: 120 pages
Publication date: 19 September 2023
Publisher: Dynamite Entertainment
Earnest Gleckman is a remarkable young individual with outstanding academic achievements in his final year of college. However, there is one peculiar aspect to his personality: he is a member of a rock band that performs every Saturday night. Earnest finds immense joy in embracing the rock aesthetic, both in his attire and his mannerisms, often emulating the nihilistic punk persona. Everything in his life undergoes a drastic transformation when he sustains a mortal wound. He learns that in order to fulfill the terms of his new lease on life, he must assume the role of a part-time fixer for a death cult known as Evil Ernie.
In stark contrast to Earnest, Evil Ernie is a vile, cruel, and sadistic individual who employs a wide range of torturous or murderous tactics against his victims. Earnest, on the other hand, exudes stability, goodness, and focus. Ernie, by contrast, is a chaotic, evil, anarchist.
As Earnest becomes entangled in the dark world of Evil Ernie, he witnesses firsthand the atrocities committed by the cult. He is forced to confront the moral dilemmas and ethical challenges that come with his newfound occupation. Despite the inherent evil surrounding him, Earnest strives to maintain his sense of integrity and uphold his moral values.
Through his experiences, Earnest learns the true meaning of sacrifice and the price that one must pay to confront evil. He discovers the strength within himself to resist the temptation of darkness and to make a positive impact on the world, even in the face of insurmountable odds.
In the end, Earnest emerges as a hero, having faced his fears and conquered the darkness that threatened to consume him. He uses his newfound knowledge and experience to help others who find themselves in similar situations, working to bring about a world that is free from the grip of evil.
