Alan Harris's play "For the Grace of You Go I" is a darkly funny, quick-witted, fast-moving new comedy. It premiered at Theatr Clwyd, Mold, in June 2021, directed by James Grieve.

Jim is a struggling writer who has been unable to make a breakthrough in his career. He is living a mundane life, working a dead-end job, and feeling unfulfilled. One day, while watching a film called "I Hired A Contract Killer," he comes up with a brilliant idea. He decides to hire a contract killer to kill himself.

At first, Jim is excited about his plan. He believes that by killing himself, he will be able to escape his mundane life and achieve fame and fortune. He spends hours researching contract killers and eventually finds one that he believes is the perfect candidate. He hires the contract killer and sets up a meeting place.

However, as the day of the meeting approaches, Jim begins to have second thoughts. He starts to question whether killing himself is really the answer to his problems. He wonders if there is something else he can do to make his life better.

Meanwhile, the contract killer is getting ready for the job. He is a ruthless and experienced killer who has done this many times before. He is determined to carry out the job and will do whatever it takes to get the job done.

As the day of the meeting arrives, Jim is filled with anxiety and fear. He is unsure whether he is making the right decision or if he is about to commit a terrible mistake. He tries to cancel the meeting, but the contract killer is not willing to let him off the hook.

The contract killer arrives at the meeting place and confronts Jim. Jim tries to plead with him to change his mind, but the contract killer is not interested in mercy. He pulls out his gun and shoots Jim in the head.

Jim's life is over. He is dead. The contract killer walks away, feeling satisfied with his job. However, as he walks away, he starts to feel a sense of guilt and remorse. He knows that he has taken someone's life and that he has caused pain and suffering to Jim's family and friends.
