Roman Jakobson, Thomas A. Sebeok, and Peirce explored the concept of transduction in semiotics, which involves the transfer of energy between different art forms. Jakobson used Saussure's theory to translate meaning between arts, while Sebeok deconstructed translation into duplicated genres. Peirce saw literary translation as a graphical representation of ellipsis, parabole, and hyperbole, with examples such as Virginia Woolf's novel The Waves and Hector Berlioz's opera The Trojans. Brecht's cabaret theater recreated his epic hyper-translation by retranslating the language of folk speech with criminal slang.

Roman Jakobson, a renowned literary translator, delved into the realm of poetical hyper translation, exploring the double words and concepts that characterize this artistic phenomenon. Language, as a powerful medium, possesses the ability to convey verbal translation, thereby embarking on a journey to explore new perspectives on music and other artistic domains. Thomas A. Sebeok, another influential scholar, deconstructed the energy of translation into the duplicated genres of artistic transduction. In the realm of semiotics, transduction encompasses a technical expression involving music, theater, and various other arts. Jakobson employed Saussure's theory to impart a singular meaning in a different art, employing different words and sounds. Subsequently, he followed this with Peirce's dynamic energy, characterized by a floating sensation of the double meaning of words and concepts. For Peirce, the realm of literary translation becomes a graphical vision of ellipsis, parabole, and hyperbole. Ellipsis is exemplified through Virginia Woolf's novel "The Waves," which offers a political transformation of Wagner's opera "Das Rheingold." Parabole finds its expression in the two lines of thought of Hector Berlioz. Interestingly, Berlioz neglected his own translation of Virgil's "Aeneid" when he retranslated the vocal text to accompany the musical lyrics of his opera "The Trojans." Hyperbole is demonstrated by Bertold Brecht's auto-translation of Gay's "The Beggars Opera." In the cabaret theater of "The Three Penny Opera," Brecht recreated his epic hyper-translation by retranslating the language of the folk speech of the German working classes with the jargon of criminal slang.
