When a starving manga artist suddenly finds a girl who looks like the spitting image of his own series' heroine on his front doorstep, it seems like a dream come true! But if only it was as simple as his drawings coming to life - this girl turns out to actually be a gahi, a yokai who can only appear human by transforming artwork into human skin and wearing it like a glove! Without your art... my body will become all weird... So begins the new life of an artist with a cute girl (???) under his roof!
The manga artist, who had been struggling to make ends meet, found himself in an unexpected predicament when a girl resembling the heroine of his series appeared on his doorstep. At first, he thought it was a dream come true. However, as he got to know her, he discovered that she was a gahi, a yokai who could only manifest as a human by transforming artwork into human skin and wearing it like a glove.
The artist was initially terrified by the revelation, but he soon realized that the gahi needed his help. Without his art, the gahi's body would become distorted and unrecognizable, and she would be unable to survive. Determined to help her, the artist began to work tirelessly on new drawings, hoping to create the perfect skin for the gahi to wear.
As he worked, the artist grew closer to the gahi, and he began to see her in a new light. She was kind and gentle, and she had a deep appreciation for art and creativity. The artist realized that he had fallen in love with her, but he knew that their relationship was impossible. The gahi was a yokai, and she could never be human.
Despite the obstacles, the artist continued to work on new drawings, hoping to create the perfect skin for the gahi. He spent countless hours experimenting with different techniques and materials, until finally, he created a skin that was both beautiful and durable. The gahi was overjoyed, and she thanked the artist for his help.
However, their happiness was short-lived. One day, the artist's work was discovered by a group of yokai hunters, who were determined to capture and sell the gahi. The artist tried to protect the gahi, but he was outnumbered and outmatched. In the end, the gahi was captured and taken away, leaving the artist heartbroken and alone.
The artist spent months searching for the gahi, hoping to find her and bring her back home. He traveled to every corner of the world, searching through museums and art galleries, and even visiting supernatural realms. But no matter how hard he searched, he could never find the gahi.
Years passed, and the artist grew old and tired. He had given up on ever finding the gahi, and he had resigned himself to a life without her. But then, one day, he received a letter from a mysterious woman. The woman claimed to have found the gahi and to be able to help the artist bring her back home.
The artist was skeptical at first, but he was desperate for any hope of reuniting with the gahi. He agreed to meet with the woman, and she took him to a remote location where she had hidden the gahi.
When the artist saw the gahi, he was overjoyed. She was still as beautiful as he remembered, and she was still wearing the skin that he had created for her. The artist hugged the gahi tightly, and he thanked her for her help.
The woman then revealed that she was the gahi's creator, and that she had been watching over the artist for years, waiting for the day when he would be able to help her. The woman explained that the gahi had been cursed by a powerful yokai, and that she had been trapped in the form of a human for centuries.
The woman then told the artist that he had a choice to make. He could either keep the gahi and live a life of luxury and fame, or he could release her and let her return to her natural form. The artist was torn between his love for the gahi and his desire for freedom.
In the end, the artist chose to release the gahi. He knew that it was the right thing to do, and he knew that the gahi would be happier in her natural form. The gahi thanked the artist for his help, and she disappeared into the forest, never to be seen again.
The artist returned home, a changed man. He had learned that love and creativity could conquer even the greatest of obstacles, and that sometimes, the things we love the most are the things that we must let go of.
