In a world where excellence is often measured by exposure and social media likes, embracing a hidden life can be seen as a radical departure from the norm. However, in Scripture, Jesus presents us with a countercultural way of living that focuses on him rather than performance or popularity. Living a concealed life, whether known by many or by none, is about redirecting our motivations and priorities.

In this study, we will explore the examples of several hidden characters in the Bible, such as the Sons of Korah, Cleopas, Huldah, the Daughters of Shallum, Pilates' Wife, and Gideon. We will learn from their stories and relate them to our own lives.

One of the key themes of hiddenness in Christ is the power it brings to individuals. When we choose to live a life that is hidden in Christ, we are free from the pressure to perform or seek validation from others. We can instead focus on our relationship with God and his calling on our lives.

Living a concealed life also brings purpose and delight. When we prioritize our relationship with God over earthly accolades, we find fulfillment and satisfaction that cannot be found elsewhere. We can live in the freedom of Christ and follow his example, which is often characterized by humility, service, and love.

However, embracing hiddenness in Christ is not without its challenges. We may face opposition and criticism from those who value performance and visibility. We may also struggle with our own self-doubt and fear of being judged.

In this study, we will provide a study guide that includes biblical context and character history lessons, group discussion questions, and individual access to six streaming video lessons from Allison Allen. The study guide also includes a personal Bible study between sessions for reflection and application.
