Sustainable, affordable housing in developing countries has become increasingly crucial for African and international stakeholders, particularly in light of the massive urbanization processes underway, which encompass numerous countries consuming vast territories and natural resources without a sustainable or equitable approach. These processes often overlook the long-term environmental consequences and the well-being of future generations. While the issue of affordable housing necessitates tailored approaches specific to African contexts, the case of Somalia serves as a poignant illustration of a fragile context characterized by uncertainty in social, political, and economic realms, as well as a lack of common legislative references and strategies.

The primary objective of this book is to impart knowledge and propose a methodological framework derived from the unique situation in Somalia.
