The authors explore the "contact zones" between humans and other species, considering how leisure interacts with nonhuman others (such as dogs, horses), affects those others (such as environmental concerns), and is influenced by the non-human (such as landscape, weather). By doing so, this work contributes to a deeper understanding of leisure as a complex, multispecies phenomenon.
