Hector Gilligan and his younger sister, Cressy, are eagerly anticipating the upcoming fancy-dress party at the newly opened local waterpark. Hector has devised a clever costume idea, opting to dress up as the enigmatic Jellyfish Joker, while Cressy chooses to embody the iconic Crabzilla. However, upon returning home to the Gilligan household, Cressy begins to exhibit peculiar behavior. Despite their attempts to remove her costume, they discover that it is, in fact, the genuine Crabzilla! The Gilligan family is left puzzled and perplexed, wondering how they managed to bring home such a colossal crab, and where Cressy's whereabouts are.

The following day, the Gilligan family embarks on a mission to unravel the mystery surrounding Crabzilla and locate Cressy. They begin by searching the waterpark, hoping to find any clues that could lead them to their missing sister. However, their search proves futile, and they are left with more questions than answers.

Determined to find Cressy, Hector and his parents decide to venture into the surrounding forest, where they believe she may have gone exploring. As they traverse the dense woodland, they encounter various creatures, including a group of friendly squirrels and a wise old owl. However, their quest for Cressy continues to be elusive, and they are forced to confront the possibility that she may be in danger.

Just when they think all hope is lost, Hector and his parents stumble upon a hidden cave deep within the forest. Inside, they find Cressy, who has been trapped by a group of scientists who were studying Crabzilla. Cressy is relieved to be reunited with her family, but she is also concerned about the fate of Crabzilla. The scientists assure the Gilligan family that they have no intention of harming the crab and that they will release it back into the wild.

With Cressy safely back home, the Gilligan family can finally rest easy. They reflect on the strange events that unfolded and are grateful for the support of their community and the bravery of their little sister. The fancy-dress party at the waterpark is postponed, but Hector and Cressy are already planning their next adventure, eager to explore the wonders of the world and discover new and exciting things.
