Based on the 1970 screenplay by rock music legend Pete Townshend, which served as the inspiration for The Who's 1971 best-selling and universally adored album, Whos Next, comes an original graphic novel. Life House takes place in a dystopian future where music has been banned. A small group of rebels organizes an illegal underground concert in an effort to topple a despotic ruler and liberate both Britain and all of humanity.
Doom Patrol's James Harvey and Spider-Man Noir's David Hine collaborated on the writing of this graphic novelization, with artwork provided by both Harvey and Australian visual artist Max Prentis, lettering by Michah Myers, and inks by Eisner Award-winning artist Mick Gray. The former Editor-in-Chief of Bleeding Cool, Hannah Means-Shannon, edited it, and it comes in a huge Vinyl LP format (12.25 x 12.25).
For any serious music collectors, rock enthusiasts, and pop culture aficionados, this is a must-have. Life House, which was initially intended to be a sci-fi rock epic to follow The Who's chart-topping song "Tommy," was put on hold for 50 years before being brought to the forefront. Songs like "Baba ORiley," "Wont Get Fooled Again," and "Behind Blue Eyes" from Whos Next took precedence over it.
