Unlike the SARS outbreak of 2002-2003, which was less contagious but more deadly, COVID-19 was highly contagious but had a lower fatality rate. Despite its lower mortality rate, COVID-19 remains one of the most dangerous viruses in human history. Research on COVID-19 has garnered significant attention from academia and governments, primarily focusing on biology, virology, public health, and psychology.
