His influence extends to being seen as a precursor to Machiavelli. During the tumultuous era of the Warring States, when oratory held immense significance, Han Fei emerged as the foremost intellect and orator of the Legalist School. Despite facing a speech impediment, Han Fei's profound thinking left a lasting impression on Zheng, the King of Qin, who later ascended to the throne and became the first emperor of China. Tragically, Han Fei's life came to an end in the confines of Zheng's prison, where he succumbed to poisoning.
