The book titled "Gokstad Revitalised: An Archaeological Revisit of the Famous Viking Age Ship Grave" is the first of three planned volumes from the Gokstad Revitalised project. This project aims to revisit the famous Viking Age ship grave discovered in 1880 and gather experiences from other archaeological revisits over the last decades. The book includes experiences from ship grave sites such as Hedeby, Ladby, and Sutton Hoo, as well as the royal monument at Jelling. It also reports on the research history of the Gokstad find and methodological feasibility studies carried out as preparation for the project.
