The Road Untravelled embarked on its journey as a personal response to the geographical limitations imposed by the COVID-19 lockdown. Initially, it started as a daily drawing project, offering a respite from the monotonous routine of work and homeschooling. However, on the suggestion of a friend, it evolved into a much broader endeavor. Sherin, driven by her passion, began accepting commissions, offering her art in exchange for charitable donations to SSAFA. This charitable organization supports individuals who are unable to travel, providing them with an imaginative escape to the destinations they longed for.

The captivating collection spans across various destinations, including the United States, Nepal, London, Italy, Iran, and numerous other remarkable places. Alongside the drawings, we feature the personal responses of some of the individuals who commissioned these works. Collectively, they create a poignant record of the profound significance of place in our most cherished memories and serve as a testament to the healing power of art during the most challenging times.

Proceeds from the sales of The Road Untravelled will be directed towards supporting SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity. Since its establishment in 1885, SSAFA has been dedicated to providing lifelong support to the UK's Armed Forces and their families. Last year, their teams of volunteers and employees extended assistance to over 79,000 individuals in need, ranging from Second World War veterans to those who have served in recent conflicts or are still actively serving, as well as their families.
