These actions primarily involve straightforward strategies such as optimizing air conditioning and electricity usage, implementing recycling programs, and installing energy-efficient lighting systems. While these measures may appear modest, they represent significant steps taken by SMEs to mitigate their environmental impact.
Furthermore, SMEs are actively considering their future preparedness in the face of extreme weather events. Common intentions include reducing emissions, developing comprehensive disaster plans, and reassessing business insurance policies to ensure resilience against climate-related risks.
The findings from this assessment underscore the crucial role that SMEs play in addressing climate change.
