Dasha is a middle-aged, middle-management woman who is ordered to fire sixty workers in her factory in Belarus to quell anti-government protests. Her only escape is a one-way ticket to the US, but she cannot escape memories of her rebellious youth resisting the Soviets. The play "The Anarchist" is a gripping, timely, and deeply moving play that won the inaugural Woven Voices Prize for migrant playwrights.
