- More about The Hidden Congregation
The Church of the One Soul in Philadelphia is haunted by a sinister presence, with no graves for the missing spouses of the remaining members and Angel, the church secretary, hiding something. Nehmi, the caretaker, lurks about watching Reverend Ox's every move, and Ammahn seems to be a prospective parishioner. Cynthia Neal is drawn to the church through sounds emanating from its core, but it is actually an undercover detective investigation of an old, still-open case.

The Church of the One Soul in Philadelphia is in need of a new minister, and Rev. Oxford Christie is brought in to lead the church. However, upon his arrival, he discovers that the church has been abandoned for many years, with no new members joining and the previous minister's portrait hanging in the basement. There is also a cemetery, but no graves for the missing spouses of the remaining members, who refuse to talk about it. Something sinister has clearly taken over the church, and Angel, the church secretary, is hiding something. Nehmi, the caretaker, lurks about watching Reverend Ox's every move. Ammahn, a prospective parishioner, only ever sneaks in and sits in the back pew, never speaking to anyone. Cynthia Neal says she is drawn to the church through sounds emanating from its core, of which only she is aware. However, Ox learns that Emmett and Jessie May, two new visitors, are actually undercover detectives investigating an old, still-open case that involves the church and its dwindling congregation.
