The Empires of Varkal and Medariz have been engaged in an ongoing conflict for centuries, marked by bloodshed and destruction. Alefret, the founder of Varkal's pacifist resistance, stood against the oppressive regime and fought for peace. However, his efforts were met with betrayal. The government, driven by its thirst for power, bombed Alefret and maimed him, locking him up in a secret prison and subjecting him to torturous experiments by a 'visionary scientist.' Despite his suffering, Alefret remained steadfast in his belief in peace.
Now, after years of captivity, the Empires of Varkal and Medariz have offered him a chance for freedom. Ordered to infiltrate one of Medariz's flying cities, Alefret must obey the bloodthirsty zealot Qhudur and find fellow anti-war activists within the enemy population. His mission is to provoke them into an uprising against their rulers, hoping to end this pointless war once and for all.
However, Alefret faces a moral dilemma. He knows that he should refuse to serve the warmongers and align himself with the resistance. But what if he could end this war, sacrificing his own morals and the principles of his fellow resistance members? Is it worth compromising his own beliefs for the greater good?
As Alefret delves deeper into the enemy city, he encounters individuals who share his vision of peace. They are oppressed by the ruling regime, just like he was. Through his interactions with them, Alefret learns about the suffering of the people and the atrocities committed by the warmongers. He begins to question his own motives and wonders if he is truly fighting for the right cause.
Despite the doubts that plague him, Alefret continues to gather information and plan his uprising. He knows that he must act quickly before the Empires of Varkal and Medariz unleash their full force against him and his fellow resistance members.
In the end, Alefret must make a difficult decision. He must choose between his own principles and the potential for peace. Will he sacrifice everything for the greater good, or will he remain true to his own beliefs and continue to fight for what is right? The fate of the Empires and the people they govern hangs in the balance.
