Dieser Band untersucht Übersetzungsmöglichkeiten von deutschen Adjektivkomposita ins Polnische anhand literarischer Werke. Adjektivkomposita sind im Deutschen eine äußerst produktive Wortbildungsart, die zwar auch im Polnischen vorkommt, allerdings deutlich seltener verwendet wird. Es wird untersucht, welche polnischen morphologischen Formen den deutschen Adjektivkomposita entsprechen könnten. Weiterhin stehen die Unterschiede der verschiedenen Wortformen in der Übersetzung im Fokus. Der Band gibt darüber hinaus einen Überblick über die Faktoren, die die Übersetzung beeinflussen und wie mögliche negative Folgen des Wortformwechsels kompensiert werden können. Dabei wurde die polnische Übersetzung von Adjektivkomposita aus den Romanen von Elfriede Jelinek nach den Erkenntnissen der deskriptiven Translationswissenschaft analysiert. In der Analyse wurden außerdem Ansätze der Konstruktionsmorphologie und -grammatik angewandt.
