Joudah's writing offers multiple perspectives on the Palestinian experience, providing a unique lens through which to view the world. With six previous collections of poems, including "The Earth in the Attic," "Alight," "Textu," "Footnotes in the Order of Disappearance," and "Tethered to Stars," Joudah has established himself as a prominent figure in the poetry world. His work has been translated into several languages, including Arabic, and he has co-edited and co-founded the Etel Adnan Poetry Prize. Joudah's awards and honors include the Yale Series of Younger Poets competition in 2007, a PEN award, a Banipal/Times Literary Supplement prize from the UK, the Griffin Poetry Prize, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and the Arab American Book Award. He currently resides in Houston with his family, where he practices internal medicine.
