Emeritus Professor Gordon R. Jones: Gordon R. Jones is a renowned figure in the field of intelligent monitoring systems. He founded and served as the former Director of the Centre for Intelligent Monitoring Systems (CIMS) at the University of Liverpool. Prior to that, he held positions as the Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics and the Director of Electric Arcs Research Group. Professor Jones has received numerous accolades, including the IEEE Education, Science, and Technology Achievement Medal (1999).
Professor Joe W. Spencer: Joe W. Spencer is the present Director of CIMS at the University of Liverpool. He previously held the position of Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics at Liverpool. Professor Spencer is actively involved in the operation of a multi-million pound technology transfer unit called Sensor City, Liverpool, where he played a significant role in its establishment.
