Most accounts of bodily self-awareness emphasize its sensory and agentive aspects, tracing the origins of our unique relationship with our bodies in how we acquire information about them and how we interact with them. However, they frequently overlook a crucial dimension of our subjective bodily existence, namely, its affective dimension. This element will explore bodily self-awareness through the lens of its affective significance.
