Big Cat for Little Wandle Fluency has been developed in collaboration with Wandle Learning Trust and Little Sutton Primary School. It consists of a range of chapter books with increasing word counts across 10 fluency levels aimed at children in Year 2 and 3. Each book builds reading confidence, stamina, and speed, and nurtures a love for reading.

The secret lives of humble rocks may hold more exciting and amazing stories than you might think. From being born in fire, to being blasted to Earth from space! Three very different rocks tell their own stories about how they were born and their incredible journeys.

Rock 1: "I was born in a fiery blaze deep within the Earth's crust. It was a hot and uncomfortable experience, but I knew I had a purpose. As I cooled and hardened, I was carried by rivers and streams until I ended up on a barren desert plain. There, I waited for someone or something to come and claim me."

Rock 2: "I was born in a distant galaxy, far away from any known civilization. I was a small, round rock, but I had a big dream. I wanted to explore the universe and see what was out there. And so, I was launched into space on a rocket ship, and I traveled through space for years, encountering strange and amazing things."

Rock 3: "I was born in a quiet forest, hidden away from the world's eyes. I spent my days buried deep beneath the soil, surrounded by trees and plants. But one day, a storm came and washed me away, carrying me to a nearby river. There, I floated for days until I was picked up by a passing bird and carried to a new home."

These three rocks have had very different lives, but they all share a common trait: they were born with a purpose. Whether they were destined to be carried by rivers, blasted into space, or carried by birds, they all played a part in the grand scheme of things.

And as we look at these humble rocks, we can't help but wonder what other secrets they hold. What other incredible stories are waiting to be discovered? Who knows what amazing adventures these rocks will have in store for us in the future?
