Brian, Hamish, Cassidy, Lou, Tracey, and Frank must work together to protect themselves from the wolf in "Let's All Be Friends!"

Format: Paperback / softback
Length: 32 pages
Publication date: 08 July 2021
Publisher: Otter-Barry Books Ltd

Winner of the Derby Children's Picture Book Award 2020! Let's all be friends! says Brian. But Stanley only likes sheep with black wool, Hamish, Cassidy, and Lou think black wool and white wool are rubbish - while Tracey and Frank only want sheep with horns in their gang. Then Brian bumps into a WOLF - and he knows he has to get the sheep to ACT TOGETHER!

Brian, a friendly sheep, had a message for everyone: "Let's all be friends!" However, Stanley, one of the sheep, had a peculiar preference for sheep with black wool. Hamish, Cassidy, and Lou, on the other hand, thought black and white wool were useless. Tracey and Frank, on the other hand, were only interested in sheep with horns.

As time passed, Brian noticed that the sheep were divided into different groups, each with their own preferences. He realized that to bring them together, he needed to find a common ground.

One day, Brian stumbled upon a wolf in the meadow. He was terrified and didn't know what to do. But then, an idea struck him. He knew that the sheep needed to work together to protect themselves from the wolf.

Brian gathered all the sheep, including Stanley, Hamish, Cassidy, Lou, Tracey, and Frank. He explained to them that the wolf was a threat to all of them and that they needed to unite to fight it off.

At first, some of the sheep were hesitant. They thought that their differences were too great to overcome. But Brian persisted and encouraged them to see beyond their differences.

Slowly but surely, the sheep began to understand the importance of unity. They realized that they could achieve more by working together than by fighting each other.

With Brian's guidance, they formed a plan to protect themselves from the wolf. They agreed to stay close to each other, to make loud noises whenever they sensed danger, and to work together to chase the wolf away.

And it worked! The wolf was scared off, and the sheep were safe once again. They realized that their differences didn't matter as much as their common goal of survival.

From that day on, the sheep were a united force. They worked together to gather food, to find shelter, and to protect each other from any threats that might come their way. They no longer cared about their differences, and they were stronger than ever before.

Brian's message of friendship and unity had finally taken root, and the sheep were living in harmony. They knew that they could overcome any obstacle if they worked together and that they were part of a larger community.

And so, the winner of the Derby Children's Picture Book Award 2020 was not a sheep with black wool or a sheep with horns, but a group of sheep who had learned the value of friendship and unity. They had shown that even the smallest differences could be overcome if they were willing to work together and that true strength comes from unity.
