This third volume of Katherine Mansfield's letters, focusing exclusively on her correspondence with John Middleton Murry, chronologically arranged from 1912 to 1918, offers a captivating glimpse into their lives during a transformative period. Over the course of six years, their world is turned upside down, marked by marriage, professional writing, economic precarity, war, and Murry's tuberculosis diagnosis. The letters, accompanied by extensive annotations, provide a comprehensive account of their experiences, set against the backdrop of historical and socio-cultural changes. The volume concludes with their marriage and Murry's deteriorating health, while a second volume of letters completes the edition.
