- More about Concrete and Mortar Production using Stone Siftings
The research examines the use of stone siftings and aspiration dust from natural stone crushing for producing concrete aggregates and fillers in dry construction mixtures and mortars. It investigates the influence of disperse fraction on the structural, mechanical, and rheological properties of cement composite construction materials. Experimental results demonstrate the efficiency of using stone crushing aspiration dust as a filler in mortars, with potential applications in fine-grained concrete and macroporous light-weight concrete.

The present study delves into the current state-of-the-art (problem) of utilizing stone siftings and aspiration dust obtained from natural stone crushing for the production of concrete aggregates and fillers for dry construction mixtures and mortars. It investigates the impact of the disperse fraction in stone siftings and aspiration dust on the structural, mechanical, and rheological properties of cement composite construction materials. A hypothesis is proposed to establish technological conditions that can effectively enhance the strength and other properties of cement-based concrete and mortar by incorporating the disperse fraction.
Experimental results are presented to examine the properties of dry mixtures and mortars made with stone crushing aspiration dust as a filler. The efficiency of using fillers derived from igneous rocks in improving the adhesive and other properties of mortars is demonstrated. A methodology for designing mortars' composition to achieve specific mortar properties when using aspiration dust as a filler is proposed.
The monograph further explores the production of fine-grained concrete, with stone siftings containing up to 20% of a disperse fraction, as a primary filler. It is demonstrated that it is feasible to produce fine-grained concrete with classes ranging from С20/25 to С60/75. Technological parameters for vibro-pressed fine-grained concrete with raw stone siftings are developed. Methodologies for composing fine-grained concrete with predetermined workability are proposed. Additionally, the potential for manufacturing macroporous light-weight concrete for walls and filtration materials using stone siftings fillers is showcased.
In conclusion, the present study provides valuable insights into the utilization of stone siftings and aspiration dust in the production of concrete aggregates and fillers for dry construction mixtures and mortars. It explores the influence of the disperse fraction on the structural, mechanical, and rheological properties of cement composite construction materials. The study presents experimental results to demonstrate the efficiency of using fillers derived from igneous rocks in improving mortar properties. Additionally, it explores the production of fine-grained concrete with stone siftings as a primary filler and proposes methodologies for designing mortars with specific workability. The potential applications of macroporous light-weight concrete for walls and filtration materials are also highlighted.
