A while back, I stumbled upon a slightly different way of looking at the world, which I coined as STA. I had to give it a name, after all. The essays collected here were written from that perspective, and I hope they may serve as a casual introduction. (You can delve deeper into it at www.sta-website.com and in the book, predictably titled STA, serialized at www.sta-serial.com.)

STA can be described as a thought experiment: what would the world look like to us if we approached it without our social and cultural preconceptions? From this ordinary experience that we all share, it constructs a rational worldview that is surprising, uplifting, and quietly revolutionary. But don't take my word for it. The best advice is to try it for yourself: stand still and consider the wondrous things.
