I am a runner with a special local circuit in Cornwall, England. I run one and three-quarter miles up to the top of Little Trevalgan Hill and back down again, for a total of 3.5 miles. This run is my way of free-flowing my thoughts and is, in part, autobiographical. I invite you, the reader, to join me on this journey as I delve into the depths of my subconscious and explore the fruits of my research into matters that need further investigation.
A touch of magical realism is sometimes appropriate, but this run is particularly special as I am completing it during a pandemic. The world has been gripped by a virus that has proven to be extremely deadly, and many people are losing their lives before their time.
Over the course of the first year of this pandemic, I will share my journey of discovery in the realms of history, politics, economics, and science. I will explore the origins of the virus, the response of governments and healthcare systems, and the impact on society as a whole.
I hope that my journey will provide you with insights and understanding of the pandemic and its effects on our world. I invite you to join me on this journey of discovery and to share your thoughts and experiences with me.
