It emphasizes the importance of feeling safe and connected to ourselves, enabling us to transcend these labels and establish a deep sense of compassionate presence, intense closeness, and empathy towards others. To empathize with others, we must first cultivate empathy for ourselves, approaching our interactions from an inward perspective. Each chapter in Shantigarbha offers practical exercises for individual or group study, supporting this transformative journey. Moreover, Shantigarbha reveals how empathy serves as a gateway to maintaining our connection to humanity and contributing to a more peaceful world. By embracing this practice, we can cultivate greater understanding, compassion, and harmony in our relationships and beyond.
