Nina and Sam hold a séance in their local cemetery, stirring up more than they bargained for - the ghost of a 14-year-old girl and a whole lot of trouble. Can Nina solve the puzzle of the girl's death in time to save her, and them all? This book is part of the Breakouts series, perfect for readers who have gained a bit more confidence in reading and are after a more challenging read, but who aren't yet ready for longer, more demanding reads.

Nina and Sam, two young teenagers, decided to hold a séance in their local cemetery one dark and stormy night. They were curious about the stories of ghosts and spirits that were said to haunt the graveyard, and they wanted to see for themselves if any of them were real.

As they gathered around a small table in the middle of the cemetery, Nina lit a few candles and Sam began to chant. Suddenly, a cold breeze blew through the graveyard, and the candles flickered. Nina felt a chill run down her spine, and she knew that something was wrong.

As they continued to chant, the ghost of a 14-year-old girl appeared before them. She was dressed in a white dress and her hair was long and flowing. She looked scared and confused, and she began to speak.

"I'm so scared," she said. "I don't know what's happening to me. I was just walking through the cemetery when I suddenly felt a hand grab me and pull me into the ground. I can't move, and I can't see anything. Please help me."

Nina and Sam were shocked. They had never encountered a ghost before, and they didn't know what to do. They tried to calm the girl down, but she was too scared.

"I don't know how to help you," Nina said. "But I know that we need to find out what happened to you. Can you tell us what happened?"

The girl nodded. "I was walking through the cemetery when I heard a voice calling my name. I turned around, and I saw a man standing in front of me. He was wearing a black suit and he had a long, black beard. He told me that he was a ghost and that he wanted to take me with him. I was scared, but I didn't know what to do. So, I followed him."

Nina and Sam were horrified. They knew that they needed to find the ghost and stop him from taking the girl. They began to search the cemetery, looking for any signs of the ghost.

As they searched, they came across a small, dark room. The room was filled with candles and incense, and there was a large, wooden table in the center. On the table was a book, and Nina recognized it as a book of spells.

"This is the book that the ghost used to summon me," the girl said. "I don't know how to use it, but I know that it's dangerous. Please help me destroy it."

Nina and Sam were hesitant. They didn't want to destroy the book, but they knew that it was the only way to stop the ghost. They began to chant the spells from the book, hoping that they would work.

As they chanted, the ghost began to grow stronger. He started to move around the room, and he began to attack Nina and Sam. They tried to fight back, but they were no match for the ghost.

Just when it seemed like all was lost, Nina remembered something that her grandmother had told her. She had told her that if she ever encountered a ghost, she should use a mirror to reflect the ghost's image back at it.

Nina quickly grabbed a mirror from her bag and held it up to the ghost. The ghost's image was reflected back at him, and he began to scream in pain.

"I can't believe it worked," Nina said. "The ghost is gone."

Sam was relieved. He had been scared for Nina and the girl, and he was glad that they had been able to stop the ghost.

As they left the cemetery, Nina and Sam were still shaken up. They had never encountered a ghost before, and they didn't know what to do next. They decided to go back to Nina's house and talk about what had happened.

As they walked back to Nina's house, Nina realized that she had learned a lot from the experience. She had learned that there were real ghosts and spirits out there, and that they were dangerous. She had also learned that she had the power to stop them.

When they arrived at Nina's house, Nina's parents were waiting for them. They were worried about Nina and the girl, and they were glad that they had been able to stop the ghost.

Nina's parents asked Nina to tell them everything that had happened. Nina told them about the séance, the ghost, and the spells. Her parents were amazed, and they were proud of Nina for her bravery.

Nina's parents decided to take Nina to a local psychic to help her understand what had happened. The psychic told Nina that the ghost was a spirit of a young girl who had been murdered in the cemetery many years ago. The spirit had been trapped in the cemetery for many years, and it had been searching for someone to help it cross over to the other side.

Nina was relieved to hear that the ghost was not evil. She had been afraid that the ghost would hurt her or the girl. She also realized that she had been able to help the ghost cross over to the other side.

Nina and Sam continued to visit the cemetery, but they were more careful this time. They knew that there were still ghosts and spirits out there, and they wanted to make sure that they were safe.

Over time, Nina and Sam became more confident in their abilities. They started to perform their own séances, and they began to help other people who were experiencing paranormal activity.

Nina and Sam's story became famous, and they were invited to appear on television shows and in movies. They were even offered a book deal, but they turned it down. They wanted to keep their story private, and they wanted to continue to help people.

In the end, Nina and Sam's story was a success. They had helped to save a ghost from a terrible fate, and they had helped to bring peace to a cemetery that had been haunted for many years. They had learned that there were real ghosts and spirits out there, and that they had the power to stop them.

Nina and Sam's story is a reminder that there is always something new to learn, and that there is always something to be afraid of. But it is also a reminder that we can overcome our fears and that we can make a difference in the world.
