Leonard Cohen, a Canadian poet, singer-songwriter, and novelist, embarked on his artistic journey in 1956 with the publication of his debut book of poetry, Let Us Compare Mythologies. Over the course of his illustrious career, he authored two novels, The Favourite Game (1963) and Beautiful Losers (1966), along with numerous volumes of poetry, including Stranger Music: Selected Poems and Songs (1993). His musical legacy is further enriched by more than a dozen albums, and numerous tribute albums have celebrated his songs in diverse languages. Tragically, Cohen passed away in Los Angeles in 2016, and his remains were discreetly interred in Montreal shortly thereafter.
