Anthony Teo, born and raised on a farm near Changi, which was visited by Albert Einstein in the 1920s, attended Singapore's 19th-century St. Anthony's Boys School and St. Joseph's Institution. After completing a course at the 330-year-old Harvard at New Cambridge in Massachusetts, USA, Anthony embarked on a journey to explore America. He drove across the country, from New York to San Francisco, traversing the breathtaking Jackalopean landscape of Wyoming. Accompanying him on this epic road trip was his friend Leo Soong, who drove his classic 1,000-mile-a-day steed, a BMW 2002 ti. Little did Anthony know, Leo was Madame Chiang Kaishek's favorite nephew.
Years later, Anthony found himself at the 800-year-old University of Cambridge in old Cambridgeshire, UK, as a Visiting Fellow to continue his quest to uncover the origins of the two universi-cities, Harvard-Cambridge and Cambridge-Cambridge Market Town. His research took him deep into the archives, where he unearthed fascinating historical records and anecdotes that shed light on the shared heritage and connections between these two iconic institutions.
Through his meticulous research and unwavering dedication, Anthony Teo has contributed significantly to our understanding of the history and development of these two remarkable universities. His journey reminds us of the power of education and the connections that can be forged across borders and generations.
