In his 49th year, the Mauerwerk-Kalender accompanies the successful building technique as a reliable successor with the characteristics of masonry, mortar, masonry work, and cleaning. With the current overview of the general building supervisory approvals or general building art approvals of this field of activity and the compilation of the current technical rules for masonry construction, it provides a comprehensive insight into this area.

A focus of this year's calendar is the environmentally friendly and sustainable construction using masonry. In several contributions, detailed approaches to achieving climate neutrality in building materials are discussed. In addition, the results of the meta-study are summarized, and approaches to considering the carbonation of cement- and lime-bound masonry stones are explained.

In the context of sustainability discussions, cost efficiency also plays a key role. How cost-optimized construction works, is also explained in an extensive contribution.
