These images were taken in the last 5 years, exploring the connection between "youth" and "uniforms" and dress codes. They show the contrasts between living a military life or being a young matador, the glamorous or unique different outfits, and the component of "performance". The children are trained to perform a role, preserving an old conservative practice, infused with an agenda, done in a modern yet old-style.

These captivating images, spanning the past five years, have been meticulously captured in various settings, including military boarding schools, matadors' schools, and Israel. They delve into the intricate relationship between youth and uniforms, exploring the profound impact of dress codes on individuals and their roles within the group. The photographs highlight the heightened traditional roles of boys and girls that accompany these uniforms, as well as the performance that these uniforms impose on young people.
Elements that have inspired and influenced my artistic journey are prominently featured in this body of work. Foremost among them are the contrasts. While living a military life or being a young matador may be associated with violence and cruelty, I discover a surprising fragility and weakness within these individuals. Contrary to popular perception, I found many of them to possess gentle and feminine qualities. This human contrast, the ability to embody two seemingly opposing traits simultaneously, captivates me. It serves as a powerful vehicle for me to create images that evoke more questions than answers.
Another aspect that draws me to these images is the glamorous or unique outfits worn by the subjects. These outfits, reminiscent of a different era, symbolize the "old world" and serve as a poignant contrast to the defenseless gaze of the sitters. While the uniforms may make the group appear identical, when captured in front of the camera, the personalities and uniqueness of each individual shine through, revealing themselves behind the outfits.
Furthermore, I am intrigued by the connection between the outfits or uniforms and the concept of "performance." The children in these photographs almost appear to be playing dress-up, imbuing their actions with a sense of theatricality. The uniforms, in a way.
