Murder in a Watched Room: A locked room, a dead body.

A locked-room mystery in the classic British tradition, pairing an impossible stabbing with a disappearance that cuts close to the investigating team. Village crime, family history and a puzzle with every exit sealed. A Locked Room. A Dead Man. No Way In. Detective Sergeant Guy Poole is frantic. His mother is missing, presumed kidnapped, but there's no ransom demand. Meanwhile, Detective Inspector Sam Brock faces a baffling case: a man found stabbed in a locked room, surrounded by witnesses who insist no one entered or left. As the two detectives work through the perplexing clues, it becomes evident that the cases are connected. Solving the impossible murder might be the key to finding Jenny Poole, and to dragging the family's oldest troubles into the light. Murder in a Watched Room is the fourth book in the Brock & Poole Mystery series, for readers who love locked-room mysteries, village crime and detective duos with real lives. Perfect for fans of Faith Martin, T.E. Kinsey and M.C. Beaton. Praise for the Brock & Poole Mystery Series:? ? ? ? ? Reminded me of a good old-fashioned Agatha mystery!? ? ? ? ? Enjoyed the plot, the style of writing, the portrayal of the characters and the fluency of the writing. ? ? ? ? ? Nail biting stuff in between the investigations, character developments and skullduggery. ? ? ? ? ? Characters are likeable, you are interested in what happens to them. ? ? ? ? ? This series of books is brilliant, just how I like them with an insight into the officers’ lives as well as the cases they are following. ? ? ? ? ? Fabulous characters, engaging, humorous and believable. ? ? ? ? ? A very human partnership… they don’t have all the answers and are not cardboard cutouts. ? ? ? ? ? Brock and Poole are great characters… written with flaws and all.
