MUTTS: Sunday Funnies Volume 2: The Complete Sunday Comic Strips, 1997–98

From Patrick McDonnell, author and artist of MUTTS and the national bestseller Breaking the Chain: The Guard Dog Story, comes the second in a series of the complete MUTTS Sunday comic strips, starting from the very beginning

Created by Patrick McDonnell in 1994, MUTTS follows the heartwarming adventures of Earl the dog, Mooch the cat, and an endearing cast of animal and human pals. It has captured the hearts of millions, garnering international recognition for its gentle humor and powerful themes of kindness, compassion, and friendship.

Sunday Funnies is the first-ever collection of the Sunday MUTTS comic strip that are complete, in color, and reprinted one per page and in chronological order. Included are all of the full-color title panels (which many newspapers drop for space constraints), along with a “Title Panel Tribute Guide” by McDonnell at the back of each volume, in which he shares his sources of inspiration for the first time.

Also included is an all-new preface by McDonnell. This second volume of Sunday Funnies reprints comic strips from 1997–98 and is the perfect gift for MUTTS fans new and old.
