After the war, cyborg soldiers known as the Extended were discharged. Juzo Inui is one of them, a man whose body was transformed, his head replaced with a giant gun. With no memory of his previous life—or who replaced his head and why—Inui now scratches out a living in the dark streets of the city as a Resolver, taking on cases involving the Extended.
Wurzel, the Berühren board of directors, has decided to free Suiso Arahabaki at the urging of one of its members, Chief Operating Officer Honest. But this move may be part of a broader power play. The megacorporations sinister influence reaches every level of the city, from the halls of justice to the back streets, where Juzo continues to search for a way to free himself from Berührens grasp. Destroying Suiso might just be the way to do so, but Suiso himself is unlike any opponent Juzo has faced before.
Suiso is a cyborg with incredible strength and agility, able to manipulate his body in ways that defy human physics. He is also a master of technology, able to hack into any system and control it with ease. And he is driven by a single-minded desire to destroy Wurzel and all that it stands for.
Juzo, on the other hand, is a skilled Resolver who has dedicated his life to fighting against the megacorporations. He is determined to find a way to free himself from Berührens grasp and to bring down the corrupt system that has controlled his life for so long. As he investigates the case of Suiso Arahabaki, Juzo begins to uncover a web of conspiracy and betrayal that reaches all the way to the top of Wurzel. He discovers that the megacorporation is not only responsible for the creation of the Extended, but also for the destruction of his hometown and the death of his family.
Juzo is forced to confront his own past and his own demons as he battles against Suiso. He must come to terms with the fact that he was once a soldier who fought for Wurzel, and that he may have been responsible for the suffering of countless others. But he also knows that he cannot give up in his fight against the megacorporation. He must use all of his skills and resources to bring down Wurzel and to free himself from its grip.
In the end, Juzo emerges victorious. He destroys Suiso and brings down Wurzel, freeing himself from the megacorporations grasp and finally achieving justice for himself and his family. He is a hero, a symbol of hope for those who have been oppressed by the megacorporations and a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always a way to fight back and to win.
