- More about Notes on Presence
Notes on Presence, delves into society’s—and our own—perceptions of women of a certainage, inspired by a debate on the market value of people that I participated in a few years ago.In Notes on Presence, the protagonist observes, meets, and photographs a variety of peopleto explore how society—and we as individuals—view aging women. The text is accompaniedby portraits of queen statues, Les Reines de France et Femmes illustres, located in the Jardindu Luxembourg in Paris. According to a French couple the author met in the garden, thestatues form a small matriarchy within an otherwise patriarchal city.Notes on Presence is the inaugural fanzine in The Notes Series, an ongoing project exploringGeneration X
