Winner of the 2020 Papatango New Writing Prize, Igor Memic's play "Old Bridge" is an epic love story that delves into the aftermath of a war that Europe has all but forgotten. It was first presented by Papatango at the Bush Theatre in London in 2021, directed by Selma Dimitrijevic.
Memic's remarkable journey continued as he secured the Most Promising Playwright Award at the 2022 Offies (Off West End Awards), sharing the honor with Zadie Smith. Additionally, he was recognized as the Most Promising Playwright (jointly with Smith) at the 2022 Critics' Circle Awards.
Old Bridge achieved remarkable recognition by winning the Outstanding Achievement in Affiliate Theatre Award at the 2022 Olivier Awards.
