This edited volume brings transnational feminisms into conversation with intersectional and decolonial approaches, fostering a pluriversal dialogue that voices and reflects upon a multitude of geo- and corpopolitical as well as epistemic locations in specific Global South/East/North/West contexts. The overarching aim is to explore analytical modes that encourage transgressing methodological nationalisms, which perpetuate unequal global power relations and remain deeply entrenched in the disciplinary perspectives that shape much social science and humanities research.

A central focus of the volume lies in methodological exploration. It seeks to understand how engagement with transnational, intersectional, and decolonial feminisms can catalyze border crossings, challenging the boundaries imposed by methodological nationalisms in academic knowledge-building. These boundaries extend to conventional modes of disembodied and ethically unaffected academic writing, as well as the boundaries between academic and creative writing. The transgressive methodological aims are further pursued through the mixing of genres and the blurring of boundaries between academic and creative writing.

Pluriversal Conversations on Transnational Feminisms is designed to reach a broad global audience of researchers, teachers, professionals, students (ranging from undergraduate to postgraduate levels), activists, and NGOs with an interest in decoloniality, intersectionality, and transnational feminisms, as well as in methodologies for boundary-transgressing knowledge-building.
