Mab's mum is absolutely captivated by fairies, to the point where she named Mab after the Fairy Queen herself! Their flat is adorned with countless fairy ornaments, miniature fairy furniture, and even fairy lights in the toilet. Mab may not fully understand the obsession, but she knows that it brings her mum immense joy, especially after the departure of her father.

On Mab's birthday, when she arrives at school wearing a beautiful fairy dress, her teacher presents her with a book all about Victorian fairies. Excitedly, Mab and her mum and little brother Robin read it together. To their surprise, the illustrations inside don't quite match the sweet and whimsical fairies they had imagined. However, the biggest surprise of all awaits them when a tiny, mysterious object tumbles out of the book's pages.

From that moment on, Mab's life is transformed as she embarks on a thrilling adventure to uncover the secrets of the magical world of fairies. She meets a cast of enchanting characters, including the mischievous Pippa, the wise Queen Mab, and the mysterious Mr. Tinker. Together, they navigate through treacherous forests, solve puzzles, and uncover ancient artifacts.

As Mab delves deeper into the world of fairies, she learns about the importance of family, friendship, and the power of imagination. She discovers that fairies are not just mythical creatures but real beings with their own unique abilities and personalities. Through her journey, Mab learns to embrace her uniqueness and to appreciate the beauty of the world around her.
