The Emperor challenges the animals to a race across the river, and the first 12 to cross will form the 12 animals of the zodiac. Cat wants to win, but Rat has a cunning plan. He suggests that they all swim together, using their strengths to make it to the other side. The other animals agree, and they start to swim.
However, the river is very wide, and the current is strong. They struggle to stay together, and some of them start to get tired. Just when it seems like they will never make it, Rat comes up with a new plan. He suggests that they all take turns swimming, using their strengths to help each other.
The other animals agree, and they start to work together. They take turns swimming, using their tails to push each other forward, their fins to keep themselves afloat, and their claws to grab onto the riverbank. Slowly but surely, they make it to the other side.
When they reach the other side, the Emperor is impressed by their teamwork and their determination. He declares that they will form the 12 animals of the zodiac, and they all live happily ever after.
This story teaches us that teamwork is important, and that we can achieve great things by working together. It also shows us that even the smallest and weakest animals can have a big impact if they work together.
