Reform with No Wasted Draws, Volume 2: The Legend of Koizumi

In The Legend of Koizumi, manga artist Hideki Ohwada reimagines international politics as a series of direct confrontations in which diplomacy gives way to decisive action. Global crises are settled through high-stakes mahjong, turning geopolitical conflict into a test of judgment, nerve, and national resolve.

Koizumi’s strategy of settling international conflict at the mahjong table draws him into a new arena where political maneuvering gives way to global crisis.

The story moves to the Vatican, where struggles for authority among the world’s most powerful institutions unfold through high-level matches that test judgment, endurance, and resolve. What appears to be another contest of influence soon reveals a far greater danger: a Nazi Fourth Reich, hidden on the Moon, preparing to reassert control over Earth.

As the threat emerges, former rivals are forced into uneasy cooperation. World leaders are pulled into a defensive effort where outcomes carry consequences far beyond diplomacy. The contests become more dangerous and unpredictable, shaped by psychological pressure, physical risk, and tactics designed to overwhelm even experienced players.

The tone shifts from political satire to large-scale geopolitical spectacle, expanding the series’ world while keeping its focus on decision-making under extreme pressure. Real historical figures, strategic tension, and escalating stakes come together in a story where national pride, personal resolve, and the fate of the planet are decided one hand at a time.
