A veteran freedom fighter and friend of Mandela is forced to break loyalties and oppose the ANC party to confront corruption and venality at the top. They recruit a young idealist to assist them in exposing a plot to poach and kill rhinos and export their horns to Southeast Asia. They install a GPS tracking device in a horn and follow it through a diplomatic bag into Vietnam. They decide to break cover in the UK using a sympathetic British MP to reveal all they know in a House of Commons speech, but first they must establish the truth. The stakes are high, as Mandela's rainbow nation has been betrayed by political corruption and cronyism, and the country's ancient rhino herd is at risk of extinction.

A veteran freedom fighter and close ally of Nelson Mandela is compelled to betray his allegiances and oppose the ruling African National Congress (ANC) party, a party he has been a member of his entire life, in order to confront corruption and venality at the highest levels. As he faces political attacks and sinister threats from a faction within the South African security services, the aging veteran finds his life endangered. Recognizing the need for assistance, he recruits a young idealist named Born Free to assist him. Together, they uncover a covert scheme at the highest level of government to poach and kill rhinos and export their valuable horns to Southeast Asia. Determined to catch the poachers and expose the trade, they successfully install a GPS tracking device inside a replica horn, which they track through a diplomatic bag into Vietnam. Concerned that intimidation by the security services will prevent them from revealing the truth, they decide to break cover in the United Kingdom by using a sympathetic British Member of Parliament (MP) to disclose their knowledge in a House of Commons speech, protected by parliamentary privilege. However, before they can do so, they must establish the truth. Will they be able to uncover the truth, or will they be silenced before they can? The stakes are high, as Mandela's vision of a "rainbow nation" hangs in the balance. Can the country's ancient rhino herd be saved from extinction by poachers supported from the very top of the state?
