Sandsnarl is a settlement nestled within a vast expanse of sand, a place where the origins and the age of this desert wonder are shrouded in mystery and intrigue. The very sand itself poses a challenge to accurate record-keeping, for it is a substance that is simultaneously drug, ore, plague, and delicacy. The inhabitants of this region, or perhaps it is a fallen kingdom, navigate through a haze of sand that seems to alter their shape and influence their thoughts. Some succumb to its soothing rattle, while others resist its persistent buzz. These poems serve as attentive listeners, extracting fragments of time and place. Together, they create a captivating impression of a Buñuelian world, one that exists without the accompaniment of music.
